| Dear C•CURE User Group members,
Firstly may I welcome all of you who have joined the C•CURE end-user group. We now have a membership in excess of one hundred members, which means we have a considerable amount of C•CURE user knowledge and experience within our community.
As a C•CURE user, membership of this group gives you unprecedented access to like-minded industry professionals who are making best use of this technology and its integration to third party products, to drive out maximum benefit from their investments. By working together, sharing information, feeding into product development and Tyco’s Voice of the Customer (VoC) programme, we will be assisting each and every member as we aim to provide safe and secure working environments and protection for our Critical National Infrastructure (CNI).
It is a challenge for us all to look at effective communication paths to enable dialogue for sharing ideas, experiences and highlighting issues, as well as providing business benefits. The C•CURE user-group experience day proved highly successful and your representative steering committee are aiming to continue building upon its success.
In order for the steering committee to represent you we must be sure we are able to listen and communicate with you effectively. I’d encourage you all to post comments on the forum or contact me directly to ensure the committee is hearing your development ideas or technical issues so we can assist you where possible. Almost certainly your requirements will not be a lone voice and the collective might carries more sway where many users are requesting the same additional functionality.
The steering group would very much like to encourage anyone who has achieved business successes, through the application of this and other related technology, to share those successes with the groups’ membership. It would also be of great use to hear of pit falls where maybe the end result was not as successful as one might have hoped. (What are the key lessons to learn from both success and failure?) So please share your war stories in order that we may all evolve.
Finally may I reiterate that this C•CURE End-user group is an independent body of end-users with no commercial objectives other than those of the organisations that we protect. Clearly we need, and very much enjoy, a productive partnership with Tyco and I would like to express my gratitude to Phil Dashey, his staff and the Software House development team for their continued support and commitments to this group.
Very best regards,
Jim.
